Beavers invade the clinic!

By March 26, 2014 No Comments

Here’s something we don’t see every day at our clinic – beavers!  But we’re not talking about Canada’s national animal.  The Beavers colony from the 90th Scouts Group paid a visit to our clinic last night to get a behind-the-scenes look at an animal hospital.  Dr. Evan Mavromatis took the children and their parents on a tour of the clinic and they saw the exam rooms, the surgical suite and the x-ray room.  And, of course, they saw some animals!  The Beavers met Gilbert the bunny, Manitou and Yukon the crested geckos, Tobi the corn snake and several birds.  The children also learned about the many different types of diagnostic and surgical instruments the doctors and the veterinary technicians use every day.  We would like to thank Scouter Helen and all of the children, parents and volunteers for an exciting evening.
