Medical Assessment & Preventive Services

The simplest way you can help keep your pet healthy is through regular medical assessments. This is particularly true for exotic pets as they are very good at hiding illness to a degree that often when they start showing signs of being sick, they have likely been sick for days, and in some cases much longer. We recommend having a physical examination done on your birds, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, and other exotics at least every six months. The veterinarians at our Toronto clinic have a combined total of over 70 years of experience dealing primarily and specifically with exotic species and, in many cases, are able to identify minor problems before they become life threatening conditions. Our dog and cat patients should be examined once a year. To help augment the physical examinations, preventative testing and measures are critical. Regular blood work, medications and vaccinations may be recommended for various species. We can even provide a permanent and safe identification procedure to help reunite you and your pet should they ever get lost. We will recommend the best preventive regimen for your pet, based on the species, your lifestyle and their risk factors. Set up an appointment with us to to have your pet(s) examined and to discuss the best prevention plan for them. Protect your pet and your family today!
