She has been a familiar face to so many of our clients as a veterinarian in our clinic family for 19 years. But now at the dawn of her 20th year at The Links Road Animal & Bird Clinic, our Dr. Hanadie Nur has gone from associate veterinarian to join our Drs. Rick Axelson and Evan Mavromatis as co-owner of Toronto’s only 100% exotics clinic!

“I knew within a few months of working at The Links Road that this was home for me,” Hanadie says.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, raised in Kuwait and educated at Edinburgh University in Scotland, Hanadie arrived at our clinic in February 2005 upon her move to Toronto.

She says that in her early years at our clinic, ownership was not on her radar. “But when it was offered to me, I was very excited and leaped at the chance to be a part of something I already loved.”

“I am very excited to take on this new challenge and nervous at the same time,” Hanadie adds. “However, I know that it will all work out as my partners are there to support me and train me for my new role.”

Both Rick and Evan are thrilled that Hanadie is joining them in co-owning the clinic.

“This is a very exciting time and a much overdue inclusion of a trusted friend and colleague,” Rick says.

“Rick and I, our staff and clients have been working with Hanadie for 19 years,” Evan adds. “She is an excellent doctor who exemplifies the values of our clinic. Our clients and staff can be confident that Hanadie will continue to uphold our clinic’s values in the future.”
