ATTENTION EVERYONE!  Since the beginning of the global pandemic, our clinic doors have remained closed to clients in order to prioritize the health of both our clients and staff members, and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. With our curbside protocol, we have been able to continue to provide veterinary care to your pets and we are grateful for your ongoing support and patience.

Beginning on December 1st, 2021, we will enter Stage One of The Links Road Animal & Bird Clinic reopening strategy. Scheduled appointments with our technicians, boarders, sample drop-offs and food/medication pick-ups will remain as a curbside service. We will also continue to offer curbside appointments for those who prefer this option. Please note that as the situation with the omicron variant evolves, our reopening strategy is subject to change.

Please read the following to understand our Stage One Reopening Protocol and expectations:

    • We will be allowing only one person to accompany your pet per appointment. Please ensure the person accompanying your pet is able to inform our staff of the pet’s specific health care needs. You will not be permitted to switch out with accompanying persons during the duration of your appointment.
    • Clients will be able to enter our clinic 10-15 minutes before their scheduled appointment. This is to avoid overcrowding in our waiting room. If you arrive earlier than 15 minutes, you will be asked to wait in your car until closer to your appointment time. Your pet will be able to wait inside our clinic in the meantime.
    • Please call us at 416-223-1165 or ring the doorbell when you arrive at our clinic. The doorbell is located on the left side of our front door. We will continue to keep our clinic doors locked at all times.
    • You will be asked to provide proof of double vaccination and a matching piece of photo government-issued identification before entering our clinic. Our reception staff will meet you at the front door to check you in once you inform them of your arrival. For those who are not fully vaccinated, and/or cannot wear a mask due to medical reasons, we will continue to offer curbside service.
    • All persons entering the building must wear a mask that fully covers the nose, mouth and chin at all times.
    • Please remain seated at all times in our waiting room unless reception staff call you to the front desk. Once your vaccination information has been verified, our reception staff will then direct you to a seat in our waiting room.
  • You will not be able to accompany your pet into the exam room unless the veterinarian deems your presence is essential to your pet’s appointment. If the veterinarian would like you to be present in the appointment, reception staff will escort you to the appropriate exam room. Since our exam rooms are small and cannot provide minimum physical distancing requirements, clients are asked to remain standing to allow for physical distance protocols.

Any verbal and/or physical abuse will not be tolerated and will result in refusal of service. Thank you for your cooperation!

We understand how stressful it can be as pet parents, especially in emergency situations. We want to assure you that we are taking all of the necessary steps to ensure that we can remain open to provide care to pets in need as we are one of only a few exotic clinics in Ontario. We also want to assure you that all of our staff members who work at our clinic are fully vaccinated.
